Career: Tom Brady began his professional career in 2000 when he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL draft. He started as a backup quarterback behind Drew Bledsoe but got his chance to shine in 2001 when Bledsoe was injured. He led the Patriots to their first Super Bowl title that year, defeating the St. Louis Rams and earning the MVP award. He repeated this feat in 2003 and 2004, beating the Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles respectively.

In 2007, Brady had one of his best seasons ever, throwing for a then-record 50 touchdown passes and leading the Patriots to an undefeated regular season. However, they lost to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII, ending their bid for a perfect season. Brady suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first game of the 2008 season but bounced back in 2009 and won the Comeback Player of the Year award.

In 2010, Brady won his second MVP award after throwing for 36 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He also led the Patriots to another Super Bowl appearance in 2011 but lost again to the Giants. In 2014, he won his fourth Super Bowl title and third MVP award after orchestrating a historic comeback against the Seattle Seahawks. He also became embroiled in a controversy known as “Deflategate”, in which he was accused of being involved in the illegal deflation of footballs before a playoff game. He was initially suspended for four games in 2015, but appealed and played the entire season. However, he eventually accepted his suspension and missed the first four games of the 2016 season.

Despite this setback, Brady led the Patriots to another Super Bowl victory in 2017, overcoming a 28-3 deficit against the Atlanta Falcons and winning his fifth MVP award. He also broke several records for passing yards and completions in a Super Bowl. In 2018, he won his third MVP award after throwing for 32 touchdowns and leading the league in passing yards. He also reached his eighth Super Bowl but lost to the Eagles.

In 2019, Brady won his sixth Super Bowl title and became the first player in NFL history to do so. He defeated the Los Angeles Rams in a low-scoring game, 13-3. He also became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl at age 41. In 2020, he left the Patriots after 20 seasons and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He led the Buccaneers to their second Super Bowl title in 2021, beating the Kansas City Chiefs and winning his seventh MVP award. He also became the oldest player to win a Super Bowl at age 43.

In 2022, Brady announced his retirement from football after 23 seasons in the NFL. He retired as the all-time leader in passing yards (83,614), touchdowns (624), completions (7,263) and wins (264) among quarterbacks. He also holds the records for most Super Bowl appearances (10), wins (7) and MVP awards (5). He is widely considered as the greatest quarterback of all time and one of the best players in NFL history.
