The “Stranger Things” actress and the son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi have confirmed their engagement on Instagram, after dating for over a year.
Millie Bobby Brown, 19, and Jake Bongiovi, 20, are ready to tie the knot. The couple announced their engagement on Tuesday with adorable posts on Instagram, showing off their love and the ring.
Brown shared a black-and-white photo of herself and Bongiovi cuddling on the beach, with a large diamond sparkler on her finger. She captioned the post with a lyric from Taylor Swift’s song “Lover”: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all.” She also added a white heart emoji.
Bongiovi posted two color photos from the same beach session, with the simple word “forever” and a white heart emoji. In one photo, he wrapped his arms around Brown, while in the other, he gazed at her affectionately.
The engagement news comes after the couple made their red carpet-debut at the British Academy Film Awards last year. They had previously confirmed their relationship on Instagram in June 2021, after being spotted together in New York.
Brown is best known for her role as Eleven on the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, which is set to return for its fifth and final season. She is also the star and producer of the “Enola Holmes” franchise on Netflix, based on the novels by Nancy Springer.
Bongiovi is an actor and the son of legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley. He recently landed his second major acting role in a new coming-of-age film called “Rockbottom”.
The couple has received many congratulations from fans and celebrities alike, including singer Pixie Lott, who commented on Brown’s post: “Omg!!! Congratulations you two so happy for you eeeee.”
We wish them all the best!
