Career: Drake Bell started his acting career at the age of five, appearing in commercials for Whirlpool and Doritos. He made his TV debut in a 1994 episode of “Home Improvement” and his film debut in a 1996 movie called “Jerry Maguire”. He gained recognition for his roles in “The Amanda Show” (1999-2002) and “Drake & Josh” (2004-2007), two popular comedy shows on Nickelodeon. He also starred in the spin-off films “Drake & Josh Go Hollywood” (2006) and “Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh” (2008).

Besides acting, Drake Bell pursued a musical career as well. He learned to play guitar at the age of 12 and was influenced by rock and roll legends like The Beatles and Elvis Presley. He released his debut album, Telegraph, in 2005 independently. His second album, It’s Only Time, was released in 2006 by Universal Motown Records and peaked at number 81 on the Billboard 200 chart. He has four older siblings: Joey, Robert, Travis, and Kellie. He grew up in Orange County and attended the Orange County High School of the Arts, where he studied acting and music. Personal Life & Family:  Drake Bell married Janet Von Schmeling, a model, and actress, in 2018. They have a son named Drake Bell Jr., who was born in 2020. However, their marriage was kept secret from the public until 2021, when Bell revealed it on social media. He also revealed that he had moved to Mexico and changed his name to Drake Campana, which means “bell” in Spanish. He said he did this to appeal to his Latin American fan base and to escape from his legal troubles in the US.


Drake Bell had a tumultuous relationship with Melissa Lingafelt, a singer, and actress who goes by the stage name Jimi Ono. They dated from 2006 to 2009 and lived together for two years. In 2020, Lingafelt accused Bell of physical and verbal abuse during their relationship. She also claimed that he had sex with underage girls and cheated on her with multiple women. Bell denied the allegations and said he never abused or mistreated anyone. He also accused Lingafelt of stealing money from him and using him for fame.

He was last seen on April 12, 2023, near Mainland High School in Florida, driving a 2022 grey BMW.
